We have a coaching team here at PLTC, headed up by our Head Coach. They are available for both members and non-members and provide either individual or group coaching; all ages and levels welcome. NICK HATCHETT (HEAD COACH) LTA LEVEL 4 SENIOR CLUB COACH accredited +

Nick has been working as a full-time tennis coach for the past 10 years. In that time he has coached players of all standards, ranging from Tots to top ranked juniors, and professional players. He is a Level 4 Senior Club Coach currently taking his Level 5 Master Club Coach award.

Nick has a lot of experience in developing players who want to regularly compete. Prior to his coaching career Nick completed a Masters in Sport Management at The University of Stirling and competed around the world as a player. His highest ranking was number 4 in Scotland.

 

LUKE UPHILL - LTA (ACA) LEVEL 3 COACH accredited +

Luke has been coaching in Southwest London for the last 6 years having studied a business management with economics degree at Roehampton University. Previously from the South Coast, Luke has played tennis since he was 7 and has competed at both county and university level. Luke is a Level 3 accredited + coach who regularly attends courses to improve as a coach and gather more knowledge to pass on to clients.

Aside from tennis Luke is into motorsports, cooking and furniture restoration.

 

ED TANDY - LTA (ACA) LEVEL 3 COACH accredited +

Ed is an accredited + Level 3 coach and has been working full time in Surrey and South West London for the past 3 years. He has been teaching a range of ages and abilities from tots to county players.

Ed competed at a Regional and County level as a junior player. Ed has a hands on teaching approach focusing on efficiency of technique and tactical effectiveness.

 

STUART DAWE - US PTR COACH

Stuart has been coaching for the last 20 years. Throughout this time he has coached all ages and abilities ranging from beginner to advanced club player. Stuart has a US PTR coaching qualification and is accredited and licensed through the LTA. Before coaching Stuart worked for the ATP tour as a player liaison and has a degree from UCSD in business and a minor in psychology.

His interests include football, travel and music.

 

ROB EAST - LTA (ACA) LEVEL 4 COACH accredited +

Rob has 31 years of coaching experience, starting as assistant coach in 1989 at David Lloyd in Raynes Park. He has been a coach at PLTC for over 20 years. He has also been the Senior Lead Coach for the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative programme since 2016.Rob spent 3 years coaching at the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy and at the Bank of England Club in Roehamptom.

Rob’s hobbies include travel and Chelsea FC.

 

KAREN HAZZARD - LTA LEVEL 4 COACH accredited +

Karen is an LTA Level 4 Qualified Tennis Coach and Level 1 Padel Coach, she has over 15 years coaching experience in both the UK and abroad, coaching and managing programmes for multiple sports at private members clubs and hotels. Karen is passionate about coaching tennis and has a niche for being able to coach players of all ages and abilities, enabling them to improve and play with confidence.


ROLAND CRUYSMANS - LTA LEVEL 3 COACH accredited +

Roland has played at county and University level. He has been working with all ages and abilities of players from recreational to a more competitive level and has delivered many sessions in schools.

His hobbies include: Football, rugby, cooking, camping and board games.
